Arthritis A glass of water containing two teaspoons apple cider vinegar before meals. Give it at least three weeks to start working.
Bee Stings Apply a poultice of baking soda and water.
Boils or Pimples Two tablespoons of lemon in a cup of boiled water. Soak cotton wool in the mixture. Clean and disinfect around the boil or pimple.

Burns Use cool/cold water to soothe. Pure vanilla extract can help to prevent blistering. For severe burns with tissue destruction or clothing sticking to burn - call a doctor.
Car Sickness Sucking on a wedge of lemon will help. Rinse mouth afterwards to prevent tooth enamel errosion.
Chafed Skin Use a piece of raw potato over irritated nose, forehead, cheeks and chin. Rinse with cool water to close pores.
Corns Slice off one end of a lemon so that there is a hole in the lemon for your toe. Wear a sock to keep the lemon in place. Repeat nightly until the corn disappears.
Cough Roast a lemon until it breaks open, mix a teaspoon of warm lemon juice with half a teaspoon of honey, and take every half hour until cough goes away.
Croup Expose patient to moist air: use a humidifier in a small room or put patient in the bathroom and turn on the shower (keep door and windows closed).
Fainting Pale, clammy skin, dizziness, shallow breathing, sweating, and temporary unconsciousness. Place in supine position with legs raised higher than body. Loosen clothing. Apply cold cloths to face. Call your doctor if fainting re-occurs.
Fatigue Add 1-1/2 cups ordinary table salt to warm running bathwater.
Fever Body temperature over 98.6 F (37 C.) Hot forehead. Increase fluid intake. Do not cover excessively. Cooling sponges with water only. Call your doctor, if fever is over 102 F or persists.
Fractures & Dislocations Severe pain, deformity, and loss of motion. Possible protruding broken bones. Call doctor. Do not move injured part until splinted. If legs, back, neck are injured, keep person lying flat and call ambulance. Cover open wounds with available clean fabric. Keep patient warm Give nothing to eat or drink.
Haemorrhoids Use a cloth or cotton wool soaked in lemon juice and apply to haemorrhoidal area.
Hiccups Suck a wedge of lemon with Worcestershire sauce.
Hornet Stings Warm a towel with hot water and sprinkle with meat tenderizer. Apply directly to the sting and reheat after 5 minutes. The heat causes the pores of the skin to open and the tenderizer neutralizes the venom.
Insect Bites Apply juice from bulbine or aloe plant or prepare a poulstice cornstarch or baking soda mixed with vinegar, fresh lemon juice or witch hazel or a paste of meat tenderiser and water. Rub wet bar of soap onto bite to relieve itching.
Migraine Headaches Nibble on four or five feverfew leaves to relieve headache.
Mosquito Bites Put underarm deodorant on the bite to relieve itching.
Nose bleed Seat patient, tip head back, and squeeze nostrils firmly together for ten minutes. Apply ice packs to back of neck. Cold compresses to nose may help.
Poison Ivy Apply a paste of 3 parts baking soda and 1 part water. Let dry, then wash off.
Sinuses While in the shower, inhale the steam as deeply as possible. It will help loosen any nasal stuffiness. This also helps if it is a deep bronchial cough.
Sore Throat Mix a tablespoon of honey and the juice of one lemon into a cup of warm water and sip.
Splinters A drop of iodine or mercurochrome on a splinter will make it show up better.
Sunburn To cool sunburn, dissolve 1/2 cup or more baking soda in a bath of lukewarm water. To relieve the sting of minor sunburn, cut a bulbine or aloe leaf and rub its juice onto skin.
